3 Minute Short Pre Production Process

It’s election year, parties are looking for votes and some will stop at nothing to gain power in Westminster.

If reports are anything to go by it is going to be a closely run race between the 2 main parties, but a Private Investigator with no agenda holds a secret that could turn the election on it’s head. Who is this PI, what do they stand to gain and what decision will they make?

Politician is sat in her private chambers talking with their lackey. Gloating about how successful they have been in their corrupt schemes. Lackey asks about the detective. She assures him that there’s nothing to worry about. “He’s being.... taken care of, as we speak”. (Shows a clip of him be cornered by some henchmen. But he has a smirk on his face).

“Are you sure you’re not underestimating him?” asks her lackey. She swiftly shoots down that idea as being outrageous. He’ll never amount to anything more than a car park watch guard.

(As she finishes saying that a tracking shot starts, showing the unconscious bodies of the henchmen sprawled out on the floor, as it moves forward revealing the detective fixing his suit collar and walking off screen.)

Peer Comments;

Becky… I like the start of your idea and I’m intrigued as to who you are going to use as your henchmen. I think a dramatic political debate link well together, I think your film will be a success.

Jazzy Jess - Your idea has a great starting point, and i’m already intrigued to find out what happens next. maybe think about how you're going to shoot specific scenes, like angles etc.

Chazza G - hi James. Nice ideas, I'm sure it will be interesting to watch.

Maisie- I like the ideas you have come up with and I can picture it easily by how you have described it, I can see it being successful!

VAT - Love the storyline. I can imagine the impact :))
